Daily Denim

Denim is such a reliable wardrobe workhorse that, oftentimes, it gets overworked. All too often we fall into a denim rut where wash, wear, repeat gets stuck on a loop. As a default setting, wearing jeans risks becoming a state of mind where styling, accessorizing and grooming falls by the wayside. But elevating your daily denim look is easier than it seems. All it takes is adding an element of luxury to look expensive, feel fancy and lift yourself up to higher ground. Consider revamping your jeans look with one of these luxury pairings:

  1. Leather
Denim and leather go hand in hand. Be it a leather moto jacket, calfskin blazer or suede baseball jacket, leather is a quick and easy way to upgrade your jeans to luxury levels. Faux leather counts too, so consider a bodysuit, mock turtleneck or tank top in faux leather stretch material, or patent leather for maximum impact.

  2. Velvet
Velvet is the ultimate luxury material that screams “fancy!”. Try a classic, tailored velvet blazer in black, burgundy or forest green paired with a basic white t-shirt to keep the look grounded. For a boho vibe, consider a crushed velvet kimono with a basic silk tank or camisole. Pair either look with simple velvet smoking slippers for an extra touch of luxe.

  3. Faux fur
Fur makes everything look expensive, which includes guilt-free faux fur. Pair a basic faux fur vest with your everyday jeans, turtleneck and booties, or an oversized faux fur jacket with jeggings and fashion sneakers. Keep hair slicked back in either a high pony or chignon, and add a statement handbag to complete the look.

  4. Satin
Adding a satin-lapeled dinner jacket to any outfit elevates it instantly. Pair your jeans with a simple black or white tuxedo blazer and classic shirting for a traditional look, or a sleek bodysuit for a sophisticated, streamlined vibe. Or consider a two-toned dinner jacket in black/burgundy, black/hunter green or black/navy to add color but still keep it classic.

  5. Cashmere
Nothing says luxury like cashmere, and pairing cashmere with jeans doesn’t get more iconic. Elevate the look further by adding some bling. Try a cashmere crewneck sweater with ballerina flats and pearls; a cashmere v-neck with pointy-toed black pumps and a rhinestone choker necklace; or a cashmere turtleneck with metallic loafers and shoulder-grazing chandelier earrings. And don’t forget to accessorize with a red lip!
