Becoming a Stylist

How did you become a stylist?
Deciding on a career change midlife, I returned to school for a degree in Image Consulting from NYC’s Fashion Institute of Technology. Going back to school was a massive undertaking, but necessary in order to evolve myself personally and professionally. For 2 years I juggled night school and weekend classes while committed to a full-time job and 2 clothing lines, so the workload was grueling but worth it. I managed to fully reinvent myself at midlife and am now doing what has always come naturally to me — personal styling based on the scientific principles of looking good. I am a NYC-based image stylist, working with private and corporate clients on wardrobe and commercial styling. At 50, I am finally aligned with my true purpose and living my most authentic life. Fusing passion with purpose has been life changing for me, and I hope my story inspires others to do the same!
